Online school has its pros and cons, it can be difficult to get something explained, especially in subjects such as math and science. However with those pads you can write on it become much easier.

Agreed. Online schools are not for everyone, and although they have some great advantages, there are some cons as well and people should be aware of what their own limitation are and how they feel most comfortable with learning.

Online and distant education is a fabulous way to reacquaint or upgrade your qualifications. Mostly the approach is towards vocation rather than academic. However, if you are keen to increase your education for self growth the subjects can be chosen for maximum academic pursuits. The flexible time management and online support is a hidden positive that allows you to continue with your other commitments. The key to a successful outcome is commitment and management of your predetermined time frame for completion of each module.

Agreed. Online education is a good way to complete school with a more flexible schedule but at the same time people have to be more motivated and eager to learn because no one is there telling them to pick up a book and read.

Thanks for your response Dotschool. I appreciate web owners who actually consider the effort of the commentator and encourage conversations. Yes the motivation is a key prerequisite of the distant and online learner. I would expect that this was a factor taken into account though as most will pay for their schooling from their own pockets, unless their employers will finance the education. Either way the commitment would have been demonstrated before accepting the challenge. Thanks again.

Online Education easy way to improve their skills and upgrade their qualification. Online Education conducted over the Internet using VOIP and with individual one on one training options. Learning over VOIP allows the use of powerful but free to access VOIP services to allow easy voice based communication between a teacher and the student, irrespective of where they may be located in the world. People are motivated and eager to learn online.

I agree that online education will probably be on the rise for years to come, even if there weren’t a financial crisis. It’s simply a better way of learning for a lot of people and it also takes some stress off of other areas of the economy while simultaneously providing opportunity to people who couldn’t normally attend post secondary school. However, I’m not exactly sure why foreign students would be particularly eager to get a US-based education, unless it’s far cheaper than their local options. Last time I checked, the US is pretty low on the education ladder, for K-12 and beyond. Just because a greater portion of our population can go to college doesn’t necessarily mean the schooling is any better than in other countries.
